The body will just collect food that is eaten and convert it into fat for storage, thus making MORE fat.

They're not a reliable way of LOSING weight, either.

id have to say that everyone should be very careful with diets as they can harm
the body. starving diets are not effective unless you have always eaten very
little. (in thta case it wouldnt be a diet would it :P but the normal food
intake)
